Pottery Painting Terms and Conditions
Please ensure you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions before booking your pottery painting class. By booking or attending a class you are deemed to have read, understood and accepted them.
Health & Safety
All paints and glazes used in our studio are non-toxic but must not be ingested. Please wash your hands thoroughly after handling paints, glazes, and ceramic pieces. Children under the age of 8 must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. If you have any known skin sensitivities or allergies, please inform a member of staff before your session begins. In the event of a spillage or accident, please notify staff immediately.
Finished Pieces & the Firing Process
All pieces are fired in a kiln after painting. Colours may shift, lighten, or intensify during firing - this is a natural part of the ceramic glazing process and not a defect. As all pieces are hand-painted, minor variations and imperfections are an inherent part of the craft.
Finished pieces are typically ready for collection within 2 weeks. We will contact you when your piece is ready. Unless otherwise stated, finished pieces are not guaranteed to be dishwasher-safe or microwave-safe, and we recommend hand-washing.
Limitation of Liability
We accept no responsibility for the artistic outcome of any painted piece. While every care is taken during firing, we cannot accept liability for breakage or damage that may occur during the kiln process. In the rare event a piece is damaged, we will endeavour to offer a goodwill gesture at our discretion.
We accept no responsibility for any piece once it has been collected. Customers are responsible for any damage caused to studio equipment or property during their session. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Bookings, Payments & Cancellations
A studio fee is payable per person per session, in addition to the cost of the chosen pottery piece. Studio fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.
If you need to change your booking, we are happy to reschedule your session provided you give us at least 48 hours' notice. Rescheduling requests made with less than 48 hours' notice may not be accommodated and the original session fee will be forfeited. No-shows for booked sessions will also forfeit their studio fee. Group bookings of 8 or more may require a deposit - please enquire for details.
We reserve the right to refuse entry or ask customers to leave if their behaviour is deemed disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate.
Photography & Privacy
We may occasionally photograph finished pieces for use on our social media and marketing materials. If you do not wish your piece to be photographed, please let a member of staff know during your session.
Personal data collected during booking is held in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We will not share your data with third parties without your consent, except where required by law. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.
General
These terms apply to all customers, including walk-ins. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time - the current version will always be available on our website and in the studio. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
