Clay, tools, glazes and firing costs are provided for all relevant classes, this is included in the course cost. This is not a limited amount and should you end up making more pieces then there may be extra firing and glazing costs. This will be discussed at the time when applicable. 

We recommend that you don't wear your best clothes! If working on the wheel then short sleeves or sleeves that roll up to your elbows are best. We suggest you bring an apron or old shirt. Avoid wearing jewellery and tie up long hair. Long nails can also get in the way!

Yes, we have plenty of parking. To be kinder to the environment you may wish to travel with a friend.

Payment of the full class fees should be made in advance. We are not able to hold bookings until payment has been received. It is also not possible to attend a course until payment has been received.

We are sorry that we can’t offer refunds. Should you not be able to attend a class please contact us within a minimum of 14 days of your booking and we may be able to reschedule your booking, amend the attendees or offer a gift voucher in exchange. Where gift vouchers have been purchased, if there is a reason why the recipient can no longer attend then the gift voucher can be passed to another person. Gift vouchers do have a 12 month expiration date.

Class cancellations or reschedules must be made by contacting us at emma@brickkilnpottery.co.uk at least 14 days before your class. Any changes less than 14 days before your class will be discretionary. Should we need to make any amendments to your booking, or are not able to run your class for any reason, we will let you know with as much advance notice as possible.

We usually allow between 6-8 weeks for your pottery to be complete. This allows time for your pieces to:

- Dry out completely
- Be bisque fired
- Be hand glazed by our team
- Be glaze fired
- Be carefully packaged
- And for us to contact you when everything is ready

We’ll send you an email or text as soon as your pottery is available to collect. If it is over 6-8 weeks, please do contact us. Please check out our opening hours and call before you collect to allow a member of staff to gather them together. If you are attending a class or membership session then you will be able to collect at that time.

If fired work is not collected within three months from when you attended class, then we may dispose of it unless agreed otherwise. Should you have missed collection of your pieces, even after this period of time, please contact us as we may still have your work.

Unfortunately, on some rare occasions, your ceramics can get damaged during the firing process. Experienced and trained staff only will handle work and operate the kilns. Brick Kiln Pottery cannot be held responsible for technical failure of equipment or breakages of students work as this is the nature of ceramics. We also do not take responsibility for the reactions of the glazes in the kiln. Occasionally the colour can be altered if a speck from a nearby pot migrates. All glazes can have unpredictable reactions in the oxidising atmosphere in the kiln.

Any personal information you give to us will be processed in accordance with GDPR. We will use the information to process your booking and to inform you about similar courses which we provide, unless you tell us that you do not want to receive this information. Payment through our website is made via our secure checkout pages. We accept all major credit cards, PayPal and Apple Pay

Of course. We may take photos or short video clips of participants in our classes. We may use the photos or videos taken on our advertising material, our social media pages, our website and for external parties where they are advertising or sharing information about our services. If you do not wish to be included in photos please notify us in your class.
