ABOUT THE CLASS

During this hands-on session, you’ll learn how to sculpt a charming Highland cow from clay using simple hand-building techniques. With step-by-step guidance from our friendly instructor, you’ll shape the body, add the signature shaggy hair, and bring your cow to life with its own unique character.

Whether you prefer a classic Highland look or want to give your cow a slightly quirky personality, this workshop is all about enjoying the creative process and having fun with clay.

No previous pottery experience is needed, making this a lovely introduction to working with clay.

What to Expect

This workshop is designed to be relaxed, creative and beginner friendly. You’ll be guided through each stage of sculpting your Highland cow, from shaping the form to adding the distinctive textures and details that make these animals so recognisable.

Included in the cost is the opportunity to paint slip glaze onto your Highland Cow to make it come alive even more!

By the end of the session you’ll have created your own handmade clay Highland cow, ready to be fired in our kiln.

Workshop Details

Duration: 2 hours
Price: £45 per person

Your booking includes:

• All clay, tools and materials
• Step-by-step guidance from our instructor
• Use of studio equipment
• Kiln firing of your finished piece

Children aged 12+ are welcome when accompanied by an adult.

Your wonderful Highland Cow will be carefully fired and clear glazed and you will be able to collect it approximately 6 weeks after your class.
