‘Improvers’ Throwing - 5 weeks
Take your wheel-throwing to the next level with our 5-Week Improvers Throwing Course at Brick Kiln Pottery. Designed for those who already have some experience on the wheel, this course gives you the time and guidance needed to truly develop your technique and confidence.
Over five weekly sessions, you’ll build on your existing skills while learning more advanced throwing methods. Our supportive instructors will help you refine your forms, improve consistency, and explore more ambitious shapes at a pace that allows for real progress. We’ll also take time to focus on any specific challenges you’re facing, whether it’s centring, pulling up walls, or achieving even thickness, so you can overcome sticking points and move forward with confidence.
With a strong focus on posture, coordination, and control, each class offers personalised feedback in a relaxed, small-group setting. You’ll have the space to practise, experiment, and grow week by week while enjoying the creative process.
By the end of the course, you’ll feel more confident at the wheel and ready to tackle more complex pieces, taking a meaningful step forward in your pottery journey.
Class Information
Class time: Tuesdays 10:00am - 12:00pm
Class fee: £300 per person. Includes unlimited clay and firing
Could you please bring an apron and an old towel.
Week 5 will be dedicated to glazing your pots, giving you the opportunity to finish your pieces with guidance and support.
To progress after this course you could sign up to become a Brick Kiln Pottery member.
